About PRPoints and how the data works

PRPoints is an independent site built to make public skilled-migration data easy to read. It is free, has no paid tier and is not connected to the Department of Home Affairs or any migration agent.

Where the numbers come from

  • EOI counts: the SkillSelect EOI data dashboard published by the Australian Government, snapshot as at 30 September 2026. We include EOIs with status submitted, invited, lodged and on hold for subclasses 189, 190 and 491.
  • Invitation rounds and cut-offs: the Home Affairs invitation rounds and previous rounds pages.
  • Occupation lists and assessing authorities: the Home Affairs skilled occupation list.
  • Points: the Home Affairs points table for subclass 189.

How we treat small numbers

The official dashboard hides counts below 20. We do the same: any count from 1 to 19 shows as <20.

The 189 queue estimate

We count submitted 189 EOIs in your occupation with more points than you, plus those with the same points submitted in an earlier month. EOIs are not people, and the dashboard gives the month an EOI was submitted, not its exact date of effect, so treat the result as a rough guide.

What this site is not

This is general information, not migration advice. For advice about your own situation, use a registered migration agent (check their number on the OMARA register) or a lawyer.
